Gratitude increases everything that you have.

It multiplies the good. When you are grateful for what you have, what you have becomes more. What you have is enough for your needs, usually it goes beyond the realm of your needs. Happy people are thankful for everything they are blessed with, big or small, great or little.

They open their eyes and their first thought is gratitude for another day, for life, for new and fresh opportunities. They are grateful for being alive, for the breath, their heart pumping blood, their body, their senses, their health, their skills.

Grateful and happy people actively choose to focus on what is present in their life rather than focus on the lack of what they desire. They choose to see and acknowledge the good, the fruitful, the abundance that abounds. They treat life as a precious gift, not as a cumbersome and ungainly burden to be tolerated. They do not prescribe to the — ‘We are here only to suffer and then die in misery’ club but rather the ‘Soul is here for its own expression and Joy’ attitude.

Gratitude brings Grace into our lives. It allows us to fully appreciate what we have going and expand into feelings of goodness. It is impossible to be grateful and complaint-ridden at the same time! Try it out for yourself. Complaining attracts and brings more things to complain about — misery loves company!

Jot down at least 10 things that you have in your life and have taken for granted so far and for which you can be and are grateful. You don’t have to stop at 10. In my experience, whenever I start on the roller-coaster of Gratitude it goes on and on in a heady ride!

Gratitude and appreciation never fail to shift us from the negative and disempowering into the positive and empowering vibrations.

Make Gratitude your constant companion. You will fall in love with it and your life.
