‘Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.’ Jim Rohn

‘The Body is The Temple of The Mind.’

‘A sound mind in a sound body.’

We’ve all heard these in one form or another. Good health and energy are fundamental requisites for living. Most of us only realise this as we grow older and our youthful escapades and unregulated living habits start catching up to us. You’re wise if you’ve started the journey of looking after your health and nutrition on all levels, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual at an early stage. If you haven’t, no need to despair, start today, start right now; it is never too late. Never, ever.

Investing in one’s well-being, at any stage of life, pays rich dividends on all fronts. Regular exercise in tandem with excellent nutrition not only helps maintain our body but also provides endorphins for our state of being while helping flush out toxins, keeping metabolic fires burning, combating stress and boosting moods. Health and fitness are signs of a vibrant life.

In recent years, more and more research has been done on longevity, remaining healthy, fit, happy and healthy; the latest research suggests that smoking is no longer the number one killer and destroyer of health, sitting is. A sedentary lifestyle isn’t the lifestyle of happy people. They move around and have fun while living. They incorporate activity in all spheres of life keeping themselves flexible, in body and mind.

And remember, being active isn’t an all-or-nothing game. Neither is it only exercise in terms of the gym or sports.
