The Undefined

Call me the early morning bird

and you will be right,

only to see me inhabit

the moments of night,

just as happily.

Call me nocturnal and crazy,

as one who loses their mind,

wandering around aimlessly,

having forsaken their senses,

for the blinding obsession of some beloved.

And then, you will see me still,

moving around and partaking of the ordinary,

in all the moments of the day that you can mark,

your mind shuttered by the constraints

of the known and the seen,

unaware that there exists,

something more, something vast and immense,

that cannot be bound or defined, not heard,

something unseen and resounding of Silence,

infinite Eternity, that goes beyond,

beyond, beyond anything you can fathom,

hear or see…

…and yet, if you simply close your eyes,

and fall down deep into yourself,

it is what you are

and all that you’d ever wish to be.
