The Fragment

It is my nature,

to be a fragment of this magical existence,

constantly floating through the realms of dawn and dusk,

fluttering here or passing there,

to quench the thirst of my fleeting fancy,

driven by the yearning to find,

that Union, which will enfold me,

into the loving embrace of the One.

Restless I seem, as I wander between one world and another,

to those firmly anchored in their familiar,

reassuring and cyclic lives,

steeped in the comfort of the known,

delineated, secure and mundane.

Restless, yes, I seem and yet,

I live immobile and still

in Eternal Peace Divine.

Not for me,

this familiarity for long,

as I chafe and churn,

the placid existence banking the fires,

that now brightly burn,

lending warmth and light,

to a world steeped in the dark,

asleep in its comfortable illusions,

forsaking that spark of life,

slumbering inside,

that warm and dazzling glow,

in Ignorance bound and hidden.

I lie here, it seems

to those who keep watch,

my body supine and heavy

in the sleep of the community,

while unbeknownst to them,

I travel far, far and wide,

unchecked, untamed, careless and free…

The chains of time and space do not exist,

no dimension counts for me,

as I move around passing effortlessly,

constantly floating, an avid explorer,

through worlds and dimensions,

through the realms of dawn and dusk.
