Food for Thought_Giving oneself permission
As we go on our journey of Personal Growth and Development, slowly and steadily dropping the limits that held us back, realising that beyond the dictates of loving and healthy social or communal living, most of the rules we live by are based only on a belief system that we have adopted and ascribed to in alignment with our deep rooted values, as we begin to connect more with ourselves at deeper levels, to move in to identifying our core, to define what it means to us to live with purpose, we start giving ourselves permission to become more and more free to live life on our terms. We willingly abandon our own chains, setting them aside to rust while we pursue our purpose and goals with a lighter heart and soul.
First we do have to explore some, think things through, brainstorm ideas, sift through information to seek that which suits us best, arrive at conclusions, define what these terms are and then habituate ourselves to make them routine, before the next phase of expansion, which is sure to come.
Once we learn to move out of our comfort zones, it doesn’t take long to shift them again, and then again!
We realise that the only person who can ever give us permission to live as we want, to be more, have more and do more is none other than the one that stares back at us from the mirror.
Our freedom acts as a catalyst for others who are watching what we do more than anything we say.
Our progress, coherence and integrity attracts and inspires others whether we are aware of it or not.
-Are you still waiting for someone to give you permission to move beyond your set limits?
-When will you give yourself permission to live the way you truly want?
