Tina Saxena was born in India, a socio-cultural, religious melting pot, in a family of diverse traditions and has had the fortune of studying at the best educational institutions all over the country, with fellow students including Christian nuns and Tibetan monks and working in India in the field of fashion and as a teacher before she moved to Italy in 2000 to pursue further studies.

She taught everything she learned from a very young age, and at age 16 was officially the class teacher of the 5th Grade (10-year-olds) for 3 months at CJM, Simla while studying for her Honours degree at St. Bede’s; one can imagine the hilarity of the parent-teacher meets!

She did her post-graduation in Fashion Design and Technology, at India’s premier fashion Institute NIFT, where she also studied the Psychology of Fashion and Costume, and worked with various design Studios and Export Houses, designing, presenting and marketing collections, and managing work teams. As Assistant Professor and Guest Faculty at NIFT and other fashion institutes, she created new course curriculums, using more of an interactive model of teaching as opposed to the traditional classroom model. She also created and executed on-stage audio-visual presentations for the Ministers and Secretaries of the Ministry of Textiles, of Small Scale Industries, Members of the Indian Fashion and Accessory Trade Associations, and organised Fashion Trend Forecasting presentations, workshops, fashion fairs etc.

A varied career of Teaching both at School and University, Fashion Design, Language Interpreter and teaching, part of the HRD Team at Piaggio India Pvt. Ltd, Food & Nutrition wellness coach, and eventually the growing curiosity of finding out what makes us tick, led her to study and train in the various Skilled Helping Disciplines starting in 2011, work with individuals, groups and companies and join Achology, the platform for Modern Applied Psychology at its inception in 2018.

The past two decades especially have been those of great introspection, personal exploration, self-discovery and growth.

For years she volunteered for the local Church-led Community projects and supervised the Kitchen, organised outings and community trips, created group workshops, organised retreats and projects and had fun with a Team of amazing volunteers of all ages, gaining invaluable experience and insights into the human psyche as well as how conditioning impacts individuals and society.

A born trainer, she loves challenging and pushing people towards growth and works with members to create their own events. When her “students” overtake her she has done her duty as a facilitator to their development and journey and feels proud and accomplished.

She speaks English, Hindi, Italian, Punjabi and Urdu, and occasionally writes short articles and free-flowing poetry, having published a short anthology entitled 'Reflections Post-Midnight'.

Her hobbies include hiking, photography, theatre, music, writing, poetry, dancing freestyle to celebrate life, creative cooking, drawing and painting.

Currently, she divides her time between Italy and India while she works with individuals and groups as a mindfulness-based soft-skills and Leadership trainer, Life Design and Transformation Counselor and Modern Applied Psychology Practitioner.
